Environmental Policy

A business consumes many more resources than an individual in the course of a day. Therefore, as a responsible corporate citizen, we believe it is important to minimize our impact on the environment.

Our first priority is making sure that your order arrives on your doorstep on time and in pristine condition, ready to be used. All of our packing materials are reusable and recyclable.

• All of the paper products we use, from copier paper to envelopes, contain a minimum of 50% post-consumer recycled content.
• Our shipping boxes contain a minimum of 40% post-consumer recycled content.
• The majority of our packing material is shredded paper from our office, which can be easily recycled. Because some of our items are very fragile and require extra protection, we occasionally purchase packing peanuts. However, these peanuts are special! We have found a supplier that makes biodegradable peanuts from cornstarch. After the package has arrived, you can either compost the peanuts or flush them down the toilet as they readily dissolve in water. (We think its pretty cool too!) • We reuse the Styrofoam packing material our suppliers send with our orders, removing additional Styrofoam from the wastestream.
• The sealed air pillows we use on occasion are made from #2 plastic (HDPE) and are clearly labeled for recycling.
