Hi there everybody:
I'm new to this whole Murano glass magnificence. I saw 2 identical murano vases being auctioned at ebay and automatically fell deeply in love with them. I won the auction ($24 total, which means $12 each), and in a few days sold one of them for $40, and I'm keeping the other one for myself. The guy I sold it to told me that if I bought more wholesale, they would sell very easily at a margin of 200%-500% in net profits. So that gave me the idea of starting an ebay business selling murano collectibles, but I really have no idea were to begin, so I hope you guys can give me a hand. Could you tell me, if you know, how may I contact true murano wholesalers and/or direct factory exporters? Which are the best ones? Any info at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Manolo,
Are you sure that your purchases are authentic Murano glass? There is so much fake Murano glass on Ebay, it is difficult to determine what is authentic and what isn't. In my experience, the authenticity of a vase sold for $24 retail is suspect. |

Thats $12 each--retail. Doesn't sound too real to me either. Manolo, There is a lot of "incorrectly attributed" Murano glass on the net, esp Ebay. Same thing happened to me as well, but I chalked it up to a learning experience...what can you do? Last edited by publius71; 07-18-2005 at 03:33 PM.. |
