Default zanetti Murano

Hello

I recently bought this glass sculpture in a junksale, it has a sticker Zanetti-Murano and is signed 'Oscar Zanetti'

It is made - as far as I can see - from a jar and other pieces of glass melted on it. Height: about 45cm

What could be the value of such a piece? I would be very grateful for any information relating to this strange piece

That is a wild looking piece! I cannot say that I have seen anything similar to this, on an overturned vase. Post some extra pics if you can.

Default signature

Thanks for your reply,

Will try to take some more pictures. This is a close-up of the signature, hope it is readible.

Looked at the website. Label is same as the company logo on the site. I understand there are 2 Oskar Zanetti's (grandfather and grandson). I guess this is the son's signature?

Default thanks again and again

Hello,

That was a pleasant message! I know very little about (Italian) glass and would never have guessed it was such a valuable piece!

I have no idea how to sell it however. I am from Belgium, are there any famous glass fairs in Europe? Or should I sell it in the US? My girlfriend is from Milano-Italy, maybe that is the place to go to?

Anyway, thanks again, you certainly made my day
