Hi Bonitao: I hope you don't mind hearing my opinion again - it is delivered with the best of intentions. The Barovier vase is really quite stunning. However, their traditional Graffito technique is different from yours. I refer you to the books "The Art of the Barovier" page 202 and Heiremans "Art Glass From Murano 1910-1970" page 52 for examples. I could not say what yours is - except that the quality looks great. How did you decide it is a Barovier Graffito?

Hi again ;
There is a Barovier vase with your technique shown on page 28 of Leslie Pina's book "Circa Fifties Glass" The photo is from Skinner Auctions and the piece is estimated at $2,000 - $2,500. Treat yours carefully! ________ CHEAP AIRSOFT M16 Last edited by Glassyeyes; 03-11-2011 at 10:11 AM.. |
