Very interesting vase. The signature looks correct to my eyes. I have never seen a vase like yours, but I LOVE it.

I don't know, the signature may look OK, but the vase doesn't look to be similar to some of the other works on his site.

I bought this vase on EBAY

the seller bought it in an estate sale,the original owner had purchased it in Venice

it is 10.5 inches high and as Tam Bam said I love it too

I had checked the Signoretto shop site also and did not see anything simi;ar

? maybe when he was working for somebody else

In all honesty, without the signature I would have considered it a contemporary piece made in China, without thinking about it for more than a second.

I would contact Silvano Signoretto directly through their website to independently verify, but I would be surprised to hear if the vase and signature was original. Sorry.

The vase looks very contemporary in style. Silvano Signoretto may have made it for another company. I have an angel he made that is made by another company so he does do different things and has a wide range of styles in glass. He doesn't just stick to one particular style or method. Like I stated, the signature looks right to my eyes. The signature doesn't have to be perfectly matched but similar because my signature is never the same when I sign for things but similar.

I wouldn't bother trying to contact Silvano personally because I have tried twice to make contact and my email was sent back to me.

P.S. - One question though, is the vase light weight or heavy for it's size?

Tam Bam, I sent pictures to Signretto;will report if feedback is given

the vase is 10.5 inches tall and very heavy with thick glass throughout the entire structure; definitely not a flimsy thin glass object
