Default Murano Signed Puppy Dog Identification

Another find from our junking trip yesterday. Does anyone know this signature? I looked in the label library but didn't see. This little cutie measures about 3 1/2" tall by 4" wide and he's in excellent condition. Cute as a button. I'm thinking 50's - 60's but not sure. Also, what type of value does he have? Thanks so much for all of your help! Vickie- Southerngaylesgrace

Default Murano dog

Hi I like your dog although Murano animals are not as well known to me as I would like, however I offer up Galiano Ferro or his son as the possible maker of your dog, others I am sure may know for sure .Cliff

The signature is Mario Gambaro (Mario G). It was made for Gambaro & Poggi. There is one almost like it in the Murano Zoo (Mammals last page). It is looking down at me even as I type. Cute little thing.

Thank you so much Anita. It is almost just like the little dog in the Murano Zoo. We picked this little beauty up not far from you in Gardendale. We junked from North Alabama to just south of Birmingham this weekend! Thanks for all of your insight! southerngaylesgrace-Vickie

It felt good to be able to give a definite answer for something, instead of maybe this or that. Mario must have liked your dog better than mine. Yours is signed. Mine just got some labels. I feel so sad for it.

I just saw this post and before I even read the comments I thought Anita has one just like it and it is a Mario Gambaro. What luck that two people have the same dog! Mario is one of my personal favs. I need to go to Alabama and go shopping.
