I got this vase from an aunt and was told it was by Toso called Stary Vase. It has a rough pontil on the bottom. Can anyone help to verify if this is true? Thank you!!

Yes, it is a Fratelli Toso starry night vase. They usually have a smooth pontil, but the pattern is distinctive and the rim scroll is typical of Fratelli Toso. Very nice gift.

Starry Night is in a value valley at the moment. Two vases similar to yours have been offered on eBay a few times for $200-$300, but there have been no takers.
The value of Starry Night vases depends on the size, color combinations, vase design, and quality of the individual piece of glass. Some starry night vases look better than others and go for a better price. Some people ask $500-750 or so for their vases. If yours is the standard 9" size, a good guess at the value would be $200-250 at the moment. But values are on the rise. If the answer seems indeterminant, it is because the values are. The best indicator for starry night is to watch eBay. The pieces are common, so you can see what the market is doing.
