Default Is this Murano?

Hello

here comes my new owl

Powerful, 25.5 cm high and 4.3 kilograms heavy.
Signed: La Murrina

Is the Murano? I've found on the net a lot about "La Murrina", but most were lighting equipment - Manufacture Venezia.

Can you tell me something about origin and value?

Thank you

Hi JEANYB your owl is a Murano creation comes from La Murrina Rio longo 17 30121 murano Venice, this is a furnace used by a collaboration of glassmakers thier output is channelled through a firm in Lombardy, they have a U.S office in Los Angeles, Lighting, mirrors for interior decor are the main items ,but they also produce traditional items like yours. At 10inches in height and weighty I expect it was in mid hundreds of euros ,trouble with this item is if you were to put it on ebay many murano collectors would be doubtful if it was indeed Murano made, it definately is and well done ,but not well known or documented. It is a nice piece, the murrine look to be on the small side; well spaced and aligned. La Murrina is still around, you may want to contact them for more info, they should be able to give you an idea of when it was made. Can I add the signature photo to the Murano Label Library?

Thanks

Hello Cliff,
Thank you for your information. Now I found the right site.

@ Fossilfly
I will now try in daylight to make a better photo of the signature, which you can then take to the Murano Label Libray.

Greeting

I have replaced the photos, it is unfortunately not better.
Perhaps it is sufficient for the Label Forum.
