I know that the people here will appreciate the auction I just won. I can't wait until the bowl gets to my mailbox.

Had to share. I am so happy, even if I had to be a low-down snipe to get it.

Thanks, Drabkin. I can't afford one of the apparenza vases or even the beakers. I am so delighted with the bowl. I really had no idea what to bid, because I couldn't find any guidelines for the bowls' values. I'm just delighted to have an apparenza. I love the swirls. Some people in another group described it as a starry night on drugs. I hadn't noticed the similarity of the two patterns until I read that.

I guess I should have posted this in the "All Things Murano" forum, since I wasn't asking about ID's or value. To keep the thread relevant to this forum, maybe someone knows typical values for bowls like this. I would love to have some idea if anyone knows. I don't plan on selling it anytime soon, but I would still like to know. I have a feeling that the bid price is a bargain and that I should feel very lucky. (Actually, my bid was much higher, but the second-high bid didn't push me up to it.)

Anita, I really like your recent purchase! The center swirl is it is similar to other Starry night bowls; im not an expert with valueation, but would guess that you got a good deal.

Thanks, Publius71. I have one of the Starry Night pieces -- a gold on cream octagon plate. The apparenza will look beautiful next to it. I have so much glass now that I'm afraid we will have to buy another house to have enough room to display it all. I guess it's time to have another eBay sale The hard part is deciding which pieces go.
