Default Right to left-left to right-it does matter!!

Hi all......I went to the Elkhorn,Wis,USA Antique Flea Market some time in June of last year with my wife Vicky. We usually stick close by, but if we lose each other,we meet at the food court about half way through the fair to rest up and to get bite to eat. Wondering off by myself, I espied a modern looking piece of glass. I turned it over and saw what looked to be Formia Murano! The dealer wanted $40, I offered $30, and when I left, we were both happy! I met up with my wife shortly after that at the food court and told her about my murano glass find. Pulling the peice of glass out my bag and looking at it from right to left,I said to Vicky"what do you think of my stylilized women doing arobics or sit ups or whatever?!" My wife, looking at the glass from left to right, said back to me while rolling her eyes at the same time," you maroon!! This is nothing more than a stylilized bird!!" And yes, I have learned to see the bird in it too! But of course, I always tell myself that art is open to one's own interpretation!! So I ask you fellow glass lovers, do I have double vision?! Am I the only maroon out there?? My lady or your bird sits about 6" high, is about 13" long and 3" wide and weighes in at 42ozs. I think the peice of glass was possibly made in the last ten years or so. I don't have a good handle on newer glass! Was 35USD's (26EURO's) a reasonable price? I am open to any comments or criticisms, after all, I am married!!......................Jerry

Its definitely a person, Formia has a series with people doing all sorts of atheletic activities. Retail it would probably be approximately $200-$300. Nice find!

Jerry, my first thought was a graceful ballerina doing a sit-up exercise. But tell your wife I also see the bird. Very elegant and pretty piece of glass!
