Acquired my first Murano piece (assume it's real)! It's gorgeous and very heavy, probably around 6-7 lbs. I looked all over the internet for information and I'm so pleased in finding this forum. It's about 12" long and 6" tall. It has a small hairline crack inside where the tail is attached to the rump, also a couple of dings underneath the tail, but not really visual to the eye until you run the fingers over the surface. Also, can't really interpret the artist's name, Auotre, Anotre, Anstre...? Any information about this piece is much appreciated. Looking forward to your replies.

Hi and welcome!
I am not familiar with the artist, but I checked the VM number 043. It is the number of Signoretto & Bastianello srl. The VM label tells you that it is considered to be quality Murano. If someone knows people who worked with S&B, we should be able to zero in on the artist's name. It looks like Ailotre to me.Anita |

Change that name.
What looked like an L is probably just light reflection. I checked for a name on the company's page, but couldn't find the right one.Anita |
