Hi
I have had this cat for about 12 years and I bought it from a little collectibles shop. I was collecting cats at the time but I am not an expert as to whether it is actually murano? Could anyone help as I may wish to sell it now but if it is only carboot quality then a car boot it shall go!!! thanks Sue |

Hi. The cat is unique, I have not seen anything similar with gilding. It reminds me of a Siamese cat with the dark ear tips and tail. I see no reason to doubt the labels authenticity, so its safe to assume it was made in Murano. The label is generic, so any of the many companies on the island could have made it, which limits its value. Much of an items collectibility is determined by who or which company made the item. So its genuine Murano, but not worth all that much. Can I add the label to the label library, I do not think we have a similar one.

Hi I have the the same cat in clear glass with gilt in exactly the same patterns.
It also has the exact same sticker.I too was skeptical, but now I'm sure it is real. |
