Default Question about Seguso label

In the Murano label library on page 1 is the red round scalloped "MADE in MURANO ITALY" label with dots on each side of the ITALY. It say's it is a generic label. In the Label library for the Glass Queries Gallery, message board, it says the same label is for Seguso, Page 6. Which is it?

I am not asking about which seguso, I was asking if the label at this page http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/d...um=102&pos=119 is generic or an Archemede Seguso label? The label on page one of this forums label library say's it is a generic label. Sorry for any confusion

Marc Heiremans, Murano Glass, Themes and Variations (1910-1970), page 201, (Vetreria Archimede Seguso) no. 3 shows the discussed label and he writes:
"Silver foil label on paper background, usually found on mass-produced export items".
Seguso Vetri dŽArte and Livio Seguso (Seguso A.V.) always used and still use their own labels and no generics.
If their are any other new findings I would be glad to note it.
Thank you all,
Horst

Hi Muranosponge,
I own a vase of Archimede Seguso (alabastro) that shows both labels (leftovers), one for exports and the other for the "artistic" items.
In your first post you only inquired "Seguso" so I couldtnŽt reply correct.

Hl Horst l have both the Hieremans book and Archimedies Seguso mid-modern glass Lace & Stone in the latter the label is attributed to A.Seguso for as you say export wares ,the vase you show in your post would be an A.Seguso item.I.missed out the A in my previous answer.Cliff

Thanks for your answers, it's what I had thought. Just wanted to be sure because it says different in the label library.
