Default Help ID this pretty basket - photos now showing, please scroll to see

I bought this basket today in a small shop. The owner didn't know much about it but thought it might be Italian art glass. There is no label or signature. It is about 5" high with 2 distinctly pointed edges. There are a few very small random bubbles in the glass (fewer than 6 I would say). The handles are uneven; they each have a slight groove along them and they are slightly concave where they meet. Thoughts? I could add more photos if that would help.

Hi. Welcome to the forums! It is difficult to make out the details from the photos, but your basket looks like it is made with neodymium glass, which gives it its purplish hue. There were a few Murano companies that used neodymium glass (Cesare Toffolo comes to mind) but also US (Fenton) and other European companies (which escape my memory at the moment) My guess that it is wasn't made by Toffolo, but my knowledge of other manufacturers isn't strong enough to make a determination. Anyone else out there?

Hmmm, When I just tried clicking on the links in the OP I'm getting a message that says:

Default Trying to get images within post

Sorry - trying to find something in the FAQ that will allow me to insert these images directly, so they open when you look at the post but no luck so far? The links do open for me . . . I don't have the photos on another website so I can't do it that way unfortunately
Actually only the first link opened - I will add some different photos and see if they work.

Hi Northwinds your example I think is Czech not Murano the reason being the base and use of neodynium in this type of vessel ,this shape has been heavily copied.Cliff
