Default Picture of the front of the tag

Attached is a picture of the front of the tag. Murano glassware is not my thing which is why the pieces have been basically collecting dust in the basement for 15 years. Anyone have any idea what the decanter might go for on the market? I certainly would not want to put it on eBay and end up getting rid of a $100 decanter for $10. However, given the comment that this style of decanter may have been widely produced, it may end up being better served as a white elephant gift (absolutely no offense to everyone who does collect and enjoy Murano glassware, but like I said, not my thing). Thanks for all of the helpful comments thusfar.

With the signature and guarantee, it is easy to see that the decanter is Murano. eBay is a risky market for Murano glass. Every day we see a $500 piece sell for $50. Another venue might be more suitable, particularly right now when the economy is conservative. Personally, I would hold onto it for a while until a good marketing choice comes along. Another choice is to look at the values of similar decanters, then run a fixed price listing on eBay. These listings don't cost much. Maybe someone will be looking specifically for the decanter and purchase it. You might want to contact Luigi Bellini to see if they made the decanter. It always helps to put a name on a piece. Bellini is a good name in Murano, as well as the rest of Italy. I sell quite often to people in Italy, so there may be a good market. The retail prices of these decanters is usually in the hundreds, though, as Cliff wrote, the abundance of these types of decanters tends to depress the secondary market.

I have to agree with Anita on this one. Right now Ebay is not a good place to put something as nice as your set on Ebay especially with the signature and even the certificate (your tag is a certificate) still attached. That is hard to find for collectors. I would wait until the market is a little more stable (even then I would be hesitant about selling it on Ebay). Your decanter is a very fine example. You don't run across too many of them.

I too would be hurt if you put it on Ebay and it sold for a cheap price. In my opinion, I think you have something that is worth more than $100.00.

Default Picture of matching stemware

Here is a picture of one of the six pieces of stemware. It is about 9 inches tall.

The stemware is just drop dead gorgeous! How charming. I must admit. I do not like the decanters and stemware usually but your set is some of the best made I have seen yet by far. Your set is out of this world awesome!
