Great birds! I don't know what M. Lys stands for. Is that the way it is signed? Do you know who M. Lys is?

I don't have a clue... I'm only familiar with what I've found on the internet. Quite a few pieces that I've come across whilst trying to place the pieces that I have are inscribed with M. Lys, and then dated, so I assumed it's a signature.

I could be wrong.
