Default Barbini Chandelier-Value?

I bought this chandelier in 1986. Barbini name is etched on the inside. The inside is smooth and the outside heavily textured. It is 19" high and the diameter is 14". It is absolutely gorgeous and everyone who sees it says where did you get it. Would anyone know what it might be worth? Has anyone else seen this chandelier? Thanks

Hi. I can't say I have seen a similar chandelier, but lighting in general does not command the prices in comparison to art glass and vases. It looks to be a scavo piece, which is unusual for lighting, I have not seen anything similar. The Barbini name is definitely a plus, but as a ballpark figure maybe around $200?

Hi,

I found some similar works from A. Barbini:

You're a lucky person!
The floor lamp has a hammer price of over $4000!
So if you want to sell it, go to ragoarts!

Smile Barbini

Great piece! I was just at the Barbini's palazzo gallery last week and have yet to see a piece for lighting as this one. Scavo techniques is very common in some Barbini styles.

The furnace has been shut down this past year since his death. His son and daughter are looking for a buyer for both the palazzo and the furnace studio...... if walls could talk! Gorgeous place!

Ciao,

Ofilia

That is a shame. I wish someone would keep up the tradition, its a shame to see all the years of effort and hard work disappear....
