Default Zanetti - Venini ?

Hello, does anyone know if Lucio Zanetti ever worked for Venini? I have a Zanetti vase (unsigned, but verifiable based on other known examples) with a Venini signature (3 line acid stamp), and would like to know if anyone knows anything about their collaboration - when did it happen, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you mean Licio Zanetti? If so, there's no mention of a connection with Venini mentioned in the very brief bio in Murano Magic, and no mention of him in Venini: Catalogue Raisonne. Seems doubtful given his association with his own glassworks.

Hi Paul 44 If you refer to the Zanetti gallery you will see that both Oscar and Licio Zanetti both worked with Venini .Cliff

Default Zanetti - Venini ?

Hello Cliff, thank you for your reply. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is this "Zanetti gallery" you speak of, and where do I find it? I am new at this, so don't know completely what's going on. Thank you again.

Could you show us a picture of the vase and acid stamp? Someone may recognize if the design is Venini and who might have done it. According to Murano Magic, Romano and Oscar were glassmakers at Venini, but they are not listed as designers. There was no mention of Licio, but he could have apprenticed there with his father.

There are generally no patents on Murano glass patterns, so they can be copied by anyone who wants. If we can see the vase, maybe someone will know something about it.

Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, I'm a rather "low tech" type, so I'm not sure about posting photos. I'll investigate the process. Thank you again.
