Dear members,
Bought this a couple of months ago. Stunning heavy piece. Almost 3 kg, 22 cm heigth. Peacock feathers and millefiori. Against the sun it is stunnning. Is it Murano? What would be the age and possible value. Is it 50-ties? I have attached 1 picture but put more in my album. Thank you all! |

Welcome to the forums! I don't believe that this is Murano, but am not 100% certain, as I haven't seen a similar piece. I like the colors and peacock motif, regardless of who may have made it.

You are right, Charlie. It is Chinese from a couple of years ago. I used to see quite a few vases similar to this listed as Italian glass on eBay. They turned out to be Chinese.

It looks Chinese to me. I'm not very reliable, but Anita is.

I have seen similar vases in different forms made by Erwin Eisch, Bavarian Forest in Bavaria Germany.

If it is "Erwin Eisch" it must be signed.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Sign-Studiogl...item43abb2fca8 If not itīs Chinese. They also copy works of Eisch. ![]() Horst |

I looked and looked and looked but no signature of Eisch. What did slowly appear was Mao Tse......
