I was walking around a shop yesterday and stumbled across this bowl. First thought was Toso Starry Night but, I have my doubts. The design doesn't look as well defined as in most pieces i've seen and the pontil isn't ground smooth like the other pieces I have. The only reason I can come up with for the pontil not being ground smooth is because of the feet. There really is not much room to do anything between them. The feet look like they were just grabbed and pulled out from the base while the glass was still hot.
The bowl measures about 14" long, 10" wide, 5" tall, and must weigh at least 10 pounds. I have seen plenty of Fratelli Toso Starry Night pieces. Most of them have been flat bottomed bowls and vases. Either way it sure does look great next to my Green Fratelli Toso Starry Night bowl. ![]() If anyone has any thoughts or information on this I would appriciate it.

I do think it is a starry nights bowl. The rim looks like Fratelli Toso. I while back I had a compote made by them. It had the same color and looseness of yours. I would have liked if it had been more swirled, but guessed the glass maker wasn't in a twisty mood on that day. I included a picture of the compote top so you can compare.

I haven't found a starry night piece but I have something similar so I appreciate your sharing. |

The rim of yours looks like F. Toso. I thought they did this type of rim very well.
