well none of our pieces have any labels or signatures on??? how would i know if these are murano / venetian etc? we have also trawled through google images and to no avail, just cant seem to find anything on these!!!

It is your best guess and trying to find a verified Murano piece to compare yours against, either with label or signature or in a book. And one can always check the Murano zoo where TXsilver posts verified Murano animals. Of course, everyone on this forum will give you their best opinion but rarely is one piece mass produced. The Murano clown are an exception as they are for tourists and some master love to produce certain animals, Lucio Zanetti comes to mind.

I have not seen fake sharks before. All 3 of yours have the same base so if one is real, the rest are too. Plenty of fake birds.

The more pieces you handle the best you will get at knowing if a piece is fake. I won't be too concerned as long as you like the pieces, paid a fair price, and aren't selling them.
