Default Opinions please - Dino Martens design for Aureliano & Toso

Hi, any opinions on this glass vase which I believe to be designed by Dino Martens for Aureliano & Toso c.1955 or so. It is a 'pulegoso' white body with coloured platelets and white thread. I have been told that there is a similar version in one of Judith Miller's antiques price guide - any thoughts or opinions - Images below, measures 35cm high, some wear to the base and a sharp pontil mark

Hi sbob,

sorry I have no positive informations.
First I´ll describe the glass >pulegoso< designed by Dino Martens and executeted by >Vetri Decorativi Rag. Vetreria Aureliano Toso< made in series
of different vessels in 1953/54.
Colorless foam glass (very fine tiny pimples) makes you to see white, with applied glass rectangles (applicazioni) in violetbrown, bluegreen, honeybrown, blue, red, opaque yellow und white, cased with clear glass.
All the objects out of these series have no beaded rim on the base also the pontil mark is hemispherical or plane grinded and polished. And finally there are no threads applicated and the blister of your vase are too big.
Who made your vase? I don´t know.
Someone else has an idea?
I hope you have not paid to much.
You´ll find original examples in "Italienisches Glas, Murano-Mailand 1930-1970, page 213 and 214, Helmut Ricke/Eva Schmitt, München 1996"

Horst

Hi, I've added some better images including one of the base - any thoughts? Someone suggested getting it authenticated by Marc Heiremans which would cost 320 euros?
