Default A passion for glass

Hi there Everyone
I have had a passion for glass for some time and find it hard not to buy Murano or what i believe to be Murano. I bought this piece at an estate sale and could do with a bit of help as you cant buy everything of course, but a friend of mine has a Murano chandelier that he wants to sell and of course id like to buy it, i was wondering about this piece i have put photos of on here in this message as to weather i could sell this for enough to buy the chandelier, i paid a few hundred for this piece and hope i didn't pay to much. I have several other pieces i can not identify also but will leave that for another day. This piece i am thinking is Seguso from the research i have done and the label library here also as to a price or a ball park figure i would really appreciate it is 24" tall (2 feet) and is solid and weighs in at approx 22 lbs. Thanks for any help

Hi and welcome to the forums! Does the sculpture have a signature?

Default Signature

Hi there
No there is no signature on it but looks like there was another label or something which was approx 2" long by 1/4" wide. The gentleman where i purchased it had a collection off all sorts of fine art and sculptures, Thanks already for welcome and help i am getting so far.

Hello and welcome to the forum, BryanD. Glad to have you! I believe your piece is Murano and probably made by one of the more modern companies (probably within the last 20 years or so). I have your same label on a Yalos Casa bowl and I bought it new 3 years ago so your label is still being used today. I really do not know what furnace your piece came from because I believe the label was used and is used by many furnaces. Nevertheless, your piece is very nice. I for one favor some of the newer Murano. It is hard to tell from your pic, but is that silver flecks running throughout the piece?
