I have inherited 8 pieces of Murano from my uncle. Can anyone tell me about them. Attached are pictures of 5 of them. I think they are beautiful.

The two vases with labels were made by La Fenice, so are fairly recent. Does your duck have a signature? It will usually be on the bottom, but sometimes is elsewhere on the body. Check for it because sometimes it is difficult to see.

Hi Bernie&Joy these are nice items as Anita says all within last 30yrs so classed as modern the 2 La Fenice items have latticino type of design included within body of item, the aquarium again modern looks like those selected for the American market ,the duck is the most interesting if it has a signature or label on base thanks for posting Cliff

THANK YOU so much. I appreciate the information you are giving me. I attached the duck picture again and a picture of it's signature. You're right. It is hard to read. I attached the blue vase and its label also. I have a picture of an etched vase and a picture of the signature on the bottom. I don't think it is murano, but it's breathtaking. It is approximately 14 inches tall. Do you have any ideas about it? Thank you again.

Hi again I thought you had a Moretti duck and that is what it is signed nice item Tami will relish viewing it.The label on vase is generic and does not give clue to maker.Cliff

Your parents have a great collection, Tami will definitely enjoy seeing another Moretti duck. Can I use the labels and signature you posted in the Murano Library?

Sorry and I am late catching up but I love your duck!!!!!! Everyone is right I am a Moretti fan to the core. I have one too but mine is different. I have seen one like yours though. A fellow member (Jerry) sent me a link to a Moretti owl like mine and the seller of the owl had a Moretti duck like yours and the seller didn't even have a clue as to what the duck was. I had to tell the seller. The seller is selling the duck for $199.00. She didn't even know the duck was signed until I pointed it out. The seller still hasn't even updated her webpage since I informed her. Oh well, her loss. I was going to buy one until I saw something else by Moretti I had to have (my fruit)

tam bam - Thank you for the link and information. I loved your duck. I feel pretty special having a moretti duck! Did you mean the duck could be valued at $199 or the lady was selling it for $199 not realizing what she had? Thanks bernieandjoy

In my opinion the duck is valued a little higher. I would put at least a $250.00 to $300.00 value on it. I thought $199.00 was a little low in my opinion for the one in the link but then again that is a good deal to me so who am I to complain about a price! LOL!
