    Believe this is a MURANO GLASS DOLPHIN

    Could anyone confirm please

    It's an unusual angle, but your dolphin looks like a Formia di Murano piece. These dolphins come in different colors and decorations. They also come on different types of bases. Your base is often used by Formia. If you want to check the attribution, type "Formia dolphin" into your search engine and it will give you links to many of them. Hope this helps.

    Any Idea how you can tell how old it is and/or value

    been in the family for at least 20 years

    I think you are right. The glass does look like theirs. It is difficult to see the exact form with the angle of the picture, but the glass itself does look like FM Marcolin. Thanks for the correct attribution.

    Much better picture. Alegni's attribution is the right one. I like Marcolin's work. He trained in Murano and works in Sweden. Alegni is an expert on the company's glass.
