Default A glass glass, ...err cup, ...err whatever.

This was picked up yesterday at a church sale. Just a single and not exactly art glass. A set would have been nice at the price. It's 4 inches (100cm) tall.

It has a very small chip on it's very delicate rim. Hard to see in real life but really stands out in this photo. Think a little chip like that would affect value? Yeah I know

Unfortunately, chips makes glass pretty much unsellable to most people. You may be able to sell it locally. Most people don't have the kind of things needed to polish out chips, so they understandably shy away from recent pieces that have them.

Totally agree. I've had another hobby that involved grinding and polishing optical glass but not working with anything this thin. Maybe I will give this one a try someday. My wife's favorite wine glasses have really thin ground rims, easy to put a teeny tiny chip in them. I've been able to save a couple of those.
