    Default Vintage Murano Figurine ??

Hi. I recieved this piece from a friend when his mother passed on. Iv'e been told that it was passed on to her from her mom. I believe that it is a vintage Murano but I can't find it in any books or web sites. He says it dates back to at least the late fifty's, it was around when he was a kid. It stands approx. 14 inches tall and is in perfect condition. If anyone could give me some info on this piece I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks very much

    Default Murano Blackmoor

schulz1953, Welcome to the MG forums!

A very nice picture you posted! It looks to me like a Blackmoor. 90% sure that it was made by Barovier in the period you mentioned, around the 50's. Does it have any labels or signatures?

    Definitely worth something!

Heres a similar piece for sale.

Can anyone else verify? I believe Venini also made some similar items at one point.

Schulz1953, Take a look at these for similar values and workmanship... Yours may or may not have been part of a set.

There are some other similar figurines throughout goantiques.com as well. Thanks antiquerose123 for bringing this up in another thread.
