I'm very sorry about not replying for so long, but I've just noticed the message you sent. I collect Skrdlovice, and it's definitely not that. It looks most like Chribska, but I've never seen a square base like that on a Chribska piece. Even the square bowl rules out Chrisbka, as does the console bowl with the forked arms, one up and down. I can see why someone might think they are Czech, but I haven't seen any Czech like that. I should say that there are some Czech factories I don't know very well. However, I'd still guess German or Austrian.

Thanks, Cliff. I just found your message. Too late, alas. I'm not to clued in about the message system here. I just replied to a post you did on the merletto bird. I'll be interested to hear what you say. I suppose the big difference is in value if the person is selling the bird.
