If you love Murano Glass, Try your hand at glassworking at the Eugene (OR) Glass School!
This spring and summer, they are offering a broad range of glass classes, but one in particular caught my eye.
For a 2 day session, May 21st and 22nd, the school will be teaching a class on how to make Murrine, or the small flowers found in millefiore pendants and paperweights. A very involved and complicated technique, which includes folding and stretching hot glass, it has been a staple of Murano glassmaking for centuries. Check out their website at eugeneglassschool.org (http://www.eugeneglassschool.org) for more info.
