I searched the web and found this decanter that had applied fins. Is it anything like yours?

I imagine that Orviato contracts with one or more bottling companies to make the bottles for their wines. If the fish is not marked, it can be difficult to figure out which of the bottling companies it is. Maybe you can email Orviato to see if they can tell you who made the bottle.

I'm glad to read that it is the same fish. It gives you some information to work with. Chances are that the bottling company would be an obscure name to us, though well known for companies that buy their bottles. It would be cool if it turned out to be a well-known art glass factory.

I tend to agree, there really aren't many (any?) Murano companies that would have made the bottles on a large scale. I was recently contacted to see if I could have some bottles handblown for a high end brandy, but in the end it would have been too much trouble to do in the timeframe required.
