Good example of chinese made?

I bought this piece for a couple of dollars, because I liked the look of it. I felt it was chinese because of the bottom, but can you tell me what else gives it away as being chinese. It is 8 inches tall. Thanks for any information helping me to know what to look for.

Yes, I believe it is Chinese, mainly because of the bright primary colors and the unpolished base. The style of the vase is one that is often used by the Chinese, as well.
