I saw this shot glass on eBay that was going for next to nothing. I have no idea of its origin. Does anyone have any idea where this might have been made? I don't have it in hand yet, so I don't know how it feels, but I loved the gold and murrines.

It is nice. I have been seeing much smaller items as well on ebay. even a millefiori thimble!

The gold and murrines remind me of AVEM, but I haven't been able to find anything in the way of bar sets they have done. Even if it is isn't Murano, I know it will add a splash of color to the display case. I like little things. I can always find a place for them.

There's no substitute for having a piece of glass in hand :) It arrived today and I would guess it is from Mexico. The glass is thin and brittle. The gold is painted -- I was hoping the auction was in err about this. The murrines are low quality and look glued on :) The rim is not polished.

It still looks nice in the display cabinet, though not as nice as its picture :( I will just think of it as my orphan child shot glass.
