Hello everyone - am new to this site - I bought a small jug in a charity shop the other day - all it has on the bottom is Italy 220 - could anyone tell me anything about it please.
Thank you for any information you can give me.
Pat :)

Hi. Most (all?!) members here are more knowledgeable about Murano glass, so answers on pottery can be lacking. In my own limited pottey experience, you jug is contemporary, and a number on the bottom usually indicates a pattern rather than a company. I wish I could be of more assistance.

Hi there:
Can we have a closer (clearer) shot of the numbers? Are the 2's or are they scripted 9 with a line under it like this 9
Just wondering, as sometimes I think I must be blind...and just throwing that out there..

Hi - well you got me wondering there with the numbers so i had a look again - they certainly look like 2's to me - then again they also look like underscored 9 - but I think they are 2's. I also noticed that the T in 'Italy' has a bit of a little 'tail' on it making it look like a 'J'.
I couldn't get a closer pic as it went a bit fuzzy - sorry.
Don;t know if any of that helps btw.......lol
