Hi, both these bowls have the scalloped "genuine venitian glass made in murano italy" labels: the one of the right has a red foil one and the other green foil. Is there a way to guesstimate age or artist by the labels? The bowls are very similar though not the same so I wonder if they were made by the same hands, just years apart or if they could have been made around the same time but by different artists? Any ideas? Thanks for looking :)

Hi. What did the seller say regarding the who created the items ?

The lighters could be by Barbini, they were one of the few who did make lighters ..

I took another quick look at your post.
ICET is made in Venezuela, ( I believe, but it may be elsewhere in South America) under the watch of Venetian glassmakers, but is not murano glass.:(

I have had some additional info in ICET glass for about a month, but have been too busy(lazy?) to post it. Im glad to see that the subject was brought up again, it seems to resurface every few months. Made me get off my butt and post.

I posted the article about ICET in its own thread here:

Hi. What did the seller say regarding the who created the items ?

regarding the similar cranberry bowls: they were offered by two different sellers. Both pieces were listed as "Murano" but not attributed to any particular maker.

The amber bullicante set was simply listed as "heavy glass" and has no label.

The cased lighter was listed as "Murano" but also has no label.

Both pieces in the green bullicante set were listed as "Murano"

The reddish orange "geode" bowl was a gift and had a label but my boyfriend removed it before he knew that he wasn't supposed to :p

The red Icet bowl has a label saying so :(

I believe the plum bowl with applied green also had a label at one point but it was removed. :o

The purple pedestal bowl has no label and I don't know how it was listed. I didn't buy that one.

The plum tripoint bowl was listed as "Murano" but has no label.

Hope that helps a little. :) Thanks.

Hi the lighters and lighter sets are most likely Barbini or even Archimede Seguso, who also made lighter sets. Heres one on ebay:

I appreciate the info on the lighters and ashtrays :)

If anyone knows anything about the other pieces I'd really appreciate that too :D
