Hello,
I am trying to figure out the artist of this piece. I have been researching on the net as best I can, and I've found very similiar pieces by Toso and Martens. I cant figure out which of them made this piece. The label on the back is pretty worn but I can make out "Made in Italy" and the letters U R A N. The label is blue with what seems to be silver letters. I found a site that has pictures of various labels and they attributed this label to fratelli toso, but like I said the label is very worn so I can't be positively sure. I love this piece and I have never seen anything as beautiful. I would love to start a collection of these pieces, but I would like to be sure they are of the same artist.....maybe just to be pretentious and say " and here is my Toso collection" :p :) . I hope I have given enough information. thank you for your time.

I apologize about the picture quality, but the "bowl3" pic is of the bottom showing the label. The "bowl1" pic is the top view....for some reason the camera makes it look a yellowish brown, but the bowl is actually blue, green, pink, white and I can see through it clearly in places. The bowl also has gold ribbons and specks with lacey ribbons of white and ribbons of the colors i've mentioned. The edge of the bowl is scalloped.

waltsumthing, your bowl is is most likely Fratelli Toso, the scallopped edge gives it away, soene else also posted a similar image a month or two ago, if I remember correctly. There is actually a similar bowl in Pina's Fratelli toso book on pp.160.

I agree. It looks like a Fratelli Toso random filigree bowl. It is a very nice find, particularly if it still has part of its label.
