I have I think a pre 1960's Unusual Murano Ashtray/Bowl in IRIDESCENT or AURENE surface, with Orange Sommerso colors. Has an oval geode shape, with the indents on the ends of the bowl used to place cigarettes. The rim is about 3/4" wide!!! Has NO damage. In Excellent Condition. Measures 6 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" high. There is no sticker.
Can you evaluate this piece and maybe give me an idea of it's value?

Hard to tell. Has it been attributed to anyone in particular?
What other info do you have on it?
Where did you buy it?

I found this one on the internet. I was given this by my Mother over 25 Years ago.

I dont know. It might be Murano.
Regardless, I think sommerso is the wrong technique used to describe it, as it looks to be one thick layer of glass, rather than two or more alternating colored layers. But the opalescent sheen makes it difficult to determine in a picture. You should take it to an appraiser who can take a better look at it, and compare
