 I ran across this eBay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260001049835&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1
I thought the bowl was Crystal Clear of Murano, but the seller told me that it was not, that is was a very rare Murano bowl. Does anyone have any ideas on this bowl?

Hi It looks like a contemporary piece to me. The first thing that came to mind was Yalos Casa who make free forms shapes/bowls with similar shapes and often with an irridescent sheen, which this seems to have. I would ask for more info as to why the seller consideres it rare.:)
Edit---check out the last picture of the label. It says "Murano style". LOL I guess thats the hidden key!

I don't know anything about Yalos Casa, so I'll be on a new search now to learn about them.
The listing I mentioned was troublesome to me because 10% of the proceeds go to the Red Cross. I don't like to see the organization linked to questionable things. (If 100% went to them, it would be okay :-)

They make mostly platters/serving ware with a irridescent sheen. There is another company that makes similar items, but I dont remember their name off the top of my head.

I just checked some of their things on eBay. There was one bowl in an eBay store that looked like slag glass. I was impressed by a couple of their pieces -- very nice work. Thanks for pointing them out to me. One person had Ferro included in their listing. Is there any relationship between them and the old Ferro?

Yalos casa is owned by ferro familY from Top One, but its item are ... very .. ordinary, soooooooooooooo far from old Ferro's item.
Bowl is very ordinary and i dont know where seller find a courage for selling at this price.
My opinion Miss Anita is that you dont must pay more than 25 usd for this item
All the best

I bought a Crystal Clear bowl that looked a lot like the one listed for $15. I bought it to resale. I had no idea what it was worth when I bought it, but thought it was pretty. I think I was finally able to pass it on for about $5 :o
The auction listing bothered me because the seller was donating a small portion of the money to the Red Cross. The seemed a lot like a scam. If the seller knew what the bowl was, she knew that it was not worth much. Perhaps she thought it was something more.
eBay is so much like a flea market. I enjoy brousing many of them. Some of the sellers are knowledgeable and friendly. Others are sharks, trying to sell things for more than their worth. It can be a tricky world out there for shoppers.
