I bought this about 5 years ago on ebay (my very first transaction on ebay) for $30. It's about 10 inches corner to corner. Looks like it had a round label on the bottom. Any ideas?

I haven't seen this ashtray before, but the copper and bright colored cane swirls remind me very much of Fratelli Toso. They did several cased black pieces in the mid-20th century. I can't see the base clearly, so I don't know if it is their typical black bowl base.

Fratelli Toso was a high production company that made things that people wanted. Many of their pieces aren't in current art glass books, which makes them difficult to attribute. Do you notice any characteristics of the label -- color, letters, etc.? It may help to identify the bowl.

I took a look in my Fratelli Toso book, and didn't see anything similar.

Just picked this up on ebay for $9.99. The duck has a inner white coloring with a gold, yellow, & orange casing. The duck has a dark brown rim that matches his beak. Each of the ducks eyes have different shapes. Is that an "S" on the bottom? Anybody?

Hi. I don't think its possible to determine who made the duck, even though it is very cute. Murano can be very difficult in most cases to identify without a label or being distinctive enough to ID immediately or even being in a book somewhere. The "S" is curious.....anyone have more info on this?
