The Corning Museum of Glass is opening an exhibit in NYC named The Italian Influence in Contemporary Glass (http://steuben.com/acb/article.cfm?section=4&m1&group=90&AID=458&loc=home-yearoftherooster) showcasing the broad influence that Venetian Glass makers have had on todays artists. Since the 60's when Dale Chihuly visited Venice to learn the art of glassblowing,others have followed in his footsteps. This exhibit, through July 30, 2005, will explore the Venetian influence on these American Artists, and the exhibit is free.
