Everytime I look at Murano Glass being sold in GB the prices are very, very low. I have purschased several fine pieces and have had them shipped to a friend in London. He will bing them on his next trip. There are some very good deals on other items as well. I have been noticing this for months now. Is it just me or am I right that there seems to be no market for Murano glass in GB?

Hi prices are cheap at the moment .I sold a Seguso alabastro rabbit last week for £23 it is now going the round on ebay for £70 ,this what is happening on ebay now,a few people buy the items relist as a buy it now ,at what is near to full market value, I find myself bidding against the same few bidders every time,on anything of note if I dont win ,you can be certain it will appear as a buy it now within a fortnight, Luckily I have a reasonalbe collection collected over past 20yrs ,like all things ebays founding principle have been manipulated and subverted the policeing on ebay uk murano site re country of origin is non existant. The only bargains l get now are mis attributions listed on other era glass sites.

That is a nice rabbit. Some of the alabastro rabbits are not nearly so nice. I know the 23 pounds was disappointing, but the 69.99 pounds is probably too high in the current market -- well, at least in the USA.
I've noticed that the Fratelli Toso millefiori prices went down in GB a few months back. The prices used to be double that paid in the USA. Now the prices are lower than they are in the USA. Markets can be so fickle.
Artifice, I've noticed that eBay sellers in GB don't use very many pictures, in general. I rarely see the picture pack presentation that is free in the USA. Does eBay offer these free things in Britain yet? It seems unfair if they don't because it makes it harder to compete worldwide.
As an aside -- I personally think that all the glass sellers should start an online mall offering glass in the stores at eBay prices. That way a buyer doesn't have to choose between convenience and low price.

Hi TxSILVER thanks for contributing to this thread ,the market is as you know a fickle thing what l have found with F. Toso millifiore satin vases is that, lack of people able or willing to spend £100+ on what are mainly small vases or pots, has led to a marked lack of interest at reasonable money, 2 years back l sold a few with bidders from Poland, Germany, GB, USA,&Switzerland,in the main these bidders are not there at the moment ,hence reducing demand hence lowering prices. As to your question re- lack of pictures on ebay uk we dont have a free presentation pack apart from the gallery picture every other small picture is charged at 12p and more for enlarged ones ,this is why at least 50% of items here only display a small gallery picture, l like to see what l am buying but over here you sometimes only get a vague idea of a prospective purchase due to poor photos, ebay has different rules for different countries it seems.
