I'm new on this site , But I see a category on Italian pottery. And was wondering about an old piece (Bepi Tay) Flying Mallard Duck ,Tay Italy sticker and it looks like #2/500 made. It has a place for a year in the indented stamp, but no year is written in or it has smudged off. It is signed in three places, the artists signature in the rocks. And tay in another spot as well as the base! I can find no reference to this piece anywhere on the web. I have seen other pieces with two Geece and others of Ducks but none as nice as this one, even though there is a small chip in wingtip! Any info would be greatly appreciated! thank you. By the way this is a very neat site, glad I found it!!!

Welcome.
The piece is very nice. Limited additon kind of tells me it is this side of WII. Other things say it is older. I saw a year mark but could not read any year. Do you have any idea as to the ate. Congress inacted an imprt act in 1922 and everthing form that date forward must have "Made in' on it. Your stikcer does not but things before that are not common with limited additions. Nice Duck. I have dozens of books with maker marks. I will look and see if I can find a lable and name in one of them. The ware on the bottom shows some age as well. It might have been sold elsewhere and imprted to this country use or brought here by a private party.
