Need help with signiature

Hi I picked up this old tray recently. It is glass over a mirror, the underside of the glass depicting a Roman scene, the trees are flecked with silver foil. At the top of the mirrored tray it is signed Murano and then a name underneath that looks like it starts with S. Any help dating and identifying along with an estimated value would be greatly appreciated:)

The name looks like "Sauran," which is a legitimate surname. I'm not sure it is what the letters are or what glass company he may have worked for. Murano used to be famous for its mirrors. Do you know how old this one is? Anita

My knowledge isn't as strong in Venetian Mirrors, but I will take a look at one of my books for the surname to see if anything pops up.

This is a very old thread, but the company Artigianato Artistico Veneziano makes similar items as well as mirrors. The company was started in 1927 by Nicolò Barbini.
