Newbie hello to all, I just stumbled onto the site while looking around for murano I'm not a collector of any sort but I have 5 piece's that that I'd like to confirm be it or not.
4 of witch were bought as a job lot from a second hand dealer. I was told that they were murano at the time, knowing noting about murano I bought them as I liked them so much, now curiosities got the better of me.
there are no markings on the on the first four piece’s and I have no paper work for them.
The 5th piece is small vase is signed but can’t make out who or what it says this was bought 10 years ago from a boot sale.
Possibly if any are worth anything???
Any help would be much much appreciated.

thanks for taking a look.

Hi, Donnie, and welcome! The ashtray appears to be Murano, but I am not sure about the other pieces. The ashtray looks like it could be uranium glass. Uranium glass glows green under blacklight.

I have seen the other pieces, but they are difficult to attribute. Is the small vase signed on bottom? It reminds me of some of the Phoenecian vases.

The signature is one of the stylized Mdina signatures, so it is definitely Phoenecian. Mdina vases don't go for a lot of money, but many people like them.

Hi. I 've actually been to the Mdina factory in Malta about 5 years ago, they do nice work, but it is on a much smaller scale than Murano.

Heres the website for more info.
