Need Help Indentifying Pieces from Small Collection of Figures & Vanity Sets

Hi All

I am seeking to identify pieces from a small estate collection we recently obtained from a cleanout. I have limited experience with Murano, however, I am fairly certain that all of these are Murano, as the woman traveled to Italy and obtained her glass while visiting. There are a couple of monumentals (double fish measuring 22" high & Flamino Pair measuring 19"). There are also some perfume/vanity sets and a few other figurals.

As for age, they are no later then the 70s & most likely 50s/60s. That's all I know. Any help identifying artist/studio would be a great help. I have to say, it has been a pleasure getting a collection of this glass, I had no idea before this acquisition how stunning Murano glass could be.

Sorry I can't help but your acquired collection is fabulous. I personally think they are Murano pieces. The Flamigos and the vanity set are exquisite. I am glad you posted them. I enjoyed looking at the pics. Nice pieces. I hope you find out more about them.

So, it seems this is pretty good stuff.

I have received word that the fish are Archimede Seguso - they are actually 24", not 22! The turqoise set appears to be Barbini & the Green Vanity bottles appear to be Flavio Poli -

This woman collected Murano specifically, so I was pretty sure the glass was Murano - I just was overwhelmed when i started research - I never knew Murano had such a wide scope. I only have dealt in a few bowls & vases before.

It is a wonderful mix of things. The striped fish appear to be Cenedese. The pear & apple may be Barbini. I am thinking the flamingo might be Fratelli Toso, but don't quote me on this one. It is nice. And I definitely agree with your friend's Seguso.

I am having most difficulty getting any imput on the Seagulls - if anyone out there knows what they might be, it would be a huge help!

I don't know about your seagulls. I found an auction that identifies your flamingo tentatively as being Barbini for Cenedese on eBay. The auction number is 260372530522 if you would like to see.

These are not common - there appears to be some other bird figurines in similiar styles done as well, but not as tall as these -

they are actually 22 1/2" tall.

After seeing the Barbini for Cenedese attribution, I noticed how similar the legs and feet were to the ibis sculpture designed by Alfredo Barbini for Vetreria Alfredo Barbini. I am pretty sure that your Barbini attribution is correct. I don't know about the Cenedese part. He did do some designs for Cenedese.

The flamingos are even more magnificent now that I know what they are. I hope you can get a good price for them. I wish I had lots of money!
