I just bought this ashtray. It is beautiful. I thought it might be Fratelli Toso, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know? It is about 6" wide and 2.5" tall. It is clear cased (cloverleaf).

[On the bad side -- The seller said that the ashtray was free of chips and any type of damage. Unfortunately, it has three long, serious abrasions on the high points of the rim and two chips. I plan to keep the bowl because I love the colors, but I do wish that all eBay sellers would describe their wares honestly. It would be nice to have a choice on how many rubs and chips are acceptable. I appreciate honest sellers.]

Anyway... I still think the ashtray is a beautiful piece of glass.

Its a little hard to make out, are the "swirls" made from millefiore cane?

There are cut canes of different colors. The canes in the swirl are continuous with the ones outside, so I believe they are not long cuts of millifiore. There are canes that are have dark gold stripes on white. I don't know what these candy-striped canes are called.
