Ciao e Buongiorno! My name is Toni Lee Fiore and I've been wanting to join a few Italian Forums and Websites for quite sometime. Of course, I'm hoping to interact with other lovers of Italy, Venice and Italian culture, of which I am one! I love the Fossilfly website, as I frequently pop over for a view. Thank you for inviting me to join the Forums.
I am of Italian heritage, 1st generation American and I hold everything about Italy close to my heart, esp the people, the land, the history, art, culture, food...all of it. I have been a lover & very samll collector of Deruta, Murano and other pottery and glassware forever. Recently, I've fallen in love with antique Venetian wedding cake beads and other lampwork beads from the Veneto.
After being a nurse for over 30 yrs, illness has forced me to pursue other passions. Given that, I have become passionate about collecting antique (and newer) Venetian and Murano lampwork beads, esp wedding cake beads & vintage European crystals. I would now like to use my artistic talents to craft these beautiful beads into jewelry. I LOVE talking about Murano and Venetian glass...I love everything about Italian culture. I could talk about glass all day!
Hopefully, I can continue to give of myself by delivering a piece of Italian and Venetian history to people by way of these lovely beads!
Hope to see you out here! Mille grazie! Ciao!
