Hi all,I'm very very new too the world of murano art glass, but i'm reading and learning.before I introduce myself I'd like to thank you all for letting me be a part of your informative, interesting site. My wife and I live in northeast ohio(The production glass and pottery capitol of the world)so collecting stueben, Hall, cambridge, Fostoria etc. was a natural as it can be found everywhere here. We arelooking forward to a long informative relationship with all of you, as we expand our knowledge and collection of art pieces from Murano. Thanks again for this site. dzdog101

Welcome! You will certainly get bitten by the Murano bug. Its fun (frustrating?) trying to figure the lineage of a piece of Murano, but once you get into collecting, there is no turning back! :)

i second that! my husband was collecting art glass for years before i came onto the scene and now, through exhaustive research and help from folks on boards like this, i've learned a lot! it can take a lot of work to properly attribute a piece but it's very satifying once accomplished and has, for me, become part of the joy of collecting. welcome to our little group of fanatics and i'm sure i'm not alone in looking forward to your sharing your questions and information about your treasures as we are all happy to help when able and occassionaly envy when appropriate ;)
