Hello MG Forum hope you can help
I have acquired two pieces of MG. One is a Bull the other a Dolphin. Both are signed, the Bull has a V.NASON & C, MURANO ITALY label on it. I have no idea of their value and need to get them insured.
The Bull is 11 inches long, 8 inches tall.
The Dolphin is 22 inches long, 12 inches tall.
Both are made from a single pieces of glass and both are extreemly heavy.
Any Ideas
Merry Christmas to all.

Hi! Welcome to the Forums! You have some great glass! The V.Nason bull is probably worth around $500, both Nason and Barbini have made many variations on the bull theme.
The dolphin is interesting, Its huge! The size of it alone makes it something rather unusual, as it must have been very difficult to create. The signature on the dophin isn't immediately familiar to me, but I will check some of my books. Does the dolphin have a label?

Hi Charlie
Thanks for the response. They are both lovely pieces, they belonged to my mother who sadly passed away a month ago. I remember my father buying the Dolphin in 1975 in a small glass shop at the top end of Lido-De-Jeselo, and I think he bought the Bull the following year. I probably have the receipts for them somewhere in the mass of paperwork from my mothers.
The Dolphin does not have a label on it, and the Bull does have a signature on the bottom of one of it hoofs. I will photograph it in daylight tomorrow, as it didn't come out with the flash on the camera as it is on the clear glass part.

The bull and dolphin are great. Iv'e seen a similar bull by Nason recently, but corroso. Can't for the life of me remember where though. Probably ebay. The dolphin is huge! Ive seen, and owned, similar dolphins and other animals, by I cannot remember seeing one this large. Its quite nice. Must have been a bear to make.

I believe there is a term "Massivo" used to describes items such as your dolphin. How much does it weigh?
