Hi There,
I Found This Cat In a Cleanout and would Love To Know Who the Artist is. There is a Foil label Thats upside down and reads "Murano Glass Made in Italy" It Weighs almost 5 #'s and stands 10 1/4 " Tall.
I think it's an awesome piece and started doing the research. I Found one similar piece and it was made by Antonio Da Ros for Gino Cenedese , but I really haven't a clue. Any Help would be great.
Thanks

I would guess Cenedese as well, especially if it is Uranium glass. Cenesese is one of the few (possibly only) shops that worked with uranium glass. Does it glow under a black light? The label may assist you in making a determination on who made it as well. This forum USED to have a collection of labels....but they were taken down, for which reason, I dont remember :p

i have a Cenedese bowl with the same label as well as a Cenedese label. labeled bowl (http://www.glasscache.com/GC_ProdPage.asp?pid=1568&rid=1) so i know that this label is on at least some Cenedese pieces.

Hey, I know that piece. It's named "what happens when you stuff a glass cat in a whisky bottle" ... only in Italian, it sounds much nicer in Italian, and there is no SPCA in Italy.

I wish I could have helped, but the best I could manage was a lame joke.

But seriously, that's a very nice piece of glass.
