A signed, large Barbini piece is a treasure. If you throw it away, please send me your address so I can rescue it from the garbage. :D If you need to get rid of it to keep peace in your family, eBay is a good place to divest of it. Or if you have a good auction house nearby, they will probably be able to get good money for it. I am not familiar with the piece, so don't know its value. It is treasure, though, if only from the signature. Barbini is a sought-after Murano company.

Thanks Anita -- I am in a town full of antique shops, including Renninger's in Mount Dora, Florida. I walk in with it and most people have no idea what it is.

Am attaching another picture WITH the signature.

A very nice piece BillK1944! Its refreshing to see a piece that is absolutely clear without any color or ornamentation. Murano glass is usually ALL about color! However I do recall seeing a few sculptures by by Barbini that were also in clear glass.
